E-Commerce Decoded von abscale: memberr Co-Founder Arne Wüllner
$100 Million exit and now build the new thing in the retention game 🚀
It's a crazy story that Arne Wüllner tells in the 67th episode of E-Commerce Decoded. One that, in my opinion, gets too little attention.
Arne realizes during his studies, at the age of 18, that investment banking and the people there are not his thing. He drops out of university joins acaó and realizes how much fun he has with start-ups and the like. They place their energy dring in at every checkout in the every german drugstore. And then end up building an incubator for start-ups. One of the investments ends up raking in eight figures! This is followed by a severe stroke of fate that changes everything. His father's health is very poor and Arne is supposed to take over the family business. He pulls up stakes. He moves back to Bielefeld, where the family business is based. An extremely difficult time, as they decide to sell all the companies. Calm returns after the sale. Then after a break, memberr GmbH is founded. They make loyalty sexy and modern. Primarily through Store Credit and incentives on many levels. In addition to a very special company history, we talk a lot about retention. What is possible with memberr and why it has so much potential. Because one thing is for sure, the effects can be really intimidating. Thank you very much Arne, Moritz and I had a lot of fun. You're welcome back anytime. Impressive story!
