Customer Account UI Extensions
The Customer Account Profile Block enhances your customers' account experience by displaying their benefits and account information in one convenient location within their Shopify customer account.
Overview
The profile block appears in your customers' accounts and displays up to three sections:
- Store credit and membership information
- Referral program details
- Birthday rewards
What Your Customers Will See
Store Credit & Membership Section
This section shows:
- Current Store Credit balance
- Upcoming Store Credit (from pending rewards)
- Current membership tier (if applicable)
- Membership expiration date (when relevant)
Referral Program Section
If you have enabled the referral program, customers will see:
- Their unique referral link to share with friends
- Clear explanation of rewards:
- What they'll receive for referring someone
- What their friends will receive when using the link
- Reward amounts (either fixed amounts or percentages)
Birthday Rewards Section
If you have enabled birthday rewards, customers will see:
- The birthday reward amount they can receive
- A date input to enter their birthday
- Clear instructions for claiming their reward
Customizing Content
You can customize all text content through the Shopify admin:
- Go to Content > Metaobjects > Customer Account Blocks Content > V2
- Edit the fields to customize:
- Section headings
- Descriptions and instructions
- Button and label text
- Reward explanations
Common Questions
How often can customers update their birthday?
To prevent misuse, customers can only update their birthday once every 180 days. They'll see a clear message showing when they can next update it if they try to change it more frequently.
What happens when a membership expires?
Customers will see their expiration date in their profile. Once expired, the membership section will be updated to reflect their new status.
How are reward amounts displayed?
- Fixed amounts show in the store's currency
- Percentage rewards show as a percentage of purchase
- All amounts automatically update if you change the reward values
